Jessica Sanchez nervous but ready for 'American Idol' finale

Two hours before the finale of “American Idol” Season 11 on Wednesday morning (PHL time), Filipina-American-Mexican Jessica Sanchez confessed to being “really nervous.”
 
On her official Twitter account @JSanchezAI11, the petite singer posted: “Getting make up & hair done. Getting really nervous lol..”
 
Fans lost no time in tweeting Sanchez their love and support for today’s crucial performance night, when Sanchez and co-finalist Phillip Phillips sing to woo American residents to vote for them.
 
Filipino fashion designer Rajo Laurel, who earlier expressed willingness to design a gown for Sanchez, tweeted, “the entire Philippine + Mexican Nations are rooting for you! We truly truly believe that YOUR THE ONE!”
 
Beauty queen Miriam Quiambao posted, “So excited to watch Jessica Sanchez vs Phillip Phillips!!!”

Singer Jennifer Holliday has announced that she will sing a duet today with Sanchez on the finale.
 
“HAPPY 2 ANNOUNCE: JENNIFER HOLLIDAY & JESSICA SANCHEZWILL SING A DUET 4 THE "AMERICAN IDOL SEASON FINALE"- WED.,MAY 23RD ON FOX TV @8:00PM,” Holliday tweeted.
 
Sanchez’s achievement making it to the top two of the popular TV show is the highest ever attained by a contestant with Filipino heritage.
 
Voting will begin right after the finale performance Wednesday (PHL time), and will run for four hours.
