Philippine fashion scored another point in the international fashion scene, thanks to supermodel Tyra Banks, producer of the hit reality show "America's Next Top Model" (ANTM). Recently, international fashion blogger Bryan Boy received worldwide attention when Banks announced him as one of the newest judges of Season 19 of ANTM, a reality modeling competition. Then on Thursday, another Filipino -- renowned fashion designer Rajo Laurel -- made waves when Banks wore one of his gowns for the crowning of the winner of ANTM Season 18. According to the entertainment news site pep.ph, during the finale of ANTM, Banks wore a Laurel ‘Pintados’ gown.   The gown – a mosaic-like beige color – is part of Laurel’s Gold Collection. It was the third gown designed by Laurel that Banks wore on ANTM.   Pep.ph said the first gown was a graphic panel dress from the Insects Collection. Banks wore it on the same episode where Filipino fashion designer Francis Libiran’s works were worn by ANTM models.   Earlier in May, Banks also wore a Laurel gown – a belted black asymmetric number with gold chest details - part of the Russe Holiday Collection. On its official Twitter account, the House of Laurel, Rajo’s fashion empire, posted the good news with pictures of Banks wearing the gown.   Laurel thanked his relative and ANTM producer Mark Carandang for pushing him to send his designs over to Banks just for a try.   “@tyrabanks wore @rajolaurel three times on ANTM Cycle 18! Thanks so much @mikecarandang79!” said the tweet.    Meanwhile, it is still not known whether Laurel’s works will be featured on cycle 19 of ANTM titled “College Edition” which Bryan Boy is judging. - VVP, GMA News
