Petron, Unioil also roll back fuel prices
After Shell and Flying V, at least two more oil firms on Saturday rolled back the prices of its products, citing the reduction in international fuel prices. In a post on its Twitter account, Petron Corp. said its latest fuel price rollback took effect at 12:01 a.m. "This is to reflect the reduction in international fuel prices," it said. It rolled back prices of Blaze 100, XCS Plus, and Xtra by P2.05 per liter; Pinoy Gasoline and Regular by P2.50 per liter; kerosene by P2.10 per liter; and Turbo Diesel and DieselMax by P1.90 per liter. This was slightly higher than the rollbacks by Shell and Flying V, which also took effect immediately after midnight of Friday. Meanwhile, "Petrol Price," a Twitter account monitoring fuel prices, said Unioil also rolled back prices of its products. The rollbacks include P1.50 per liter for premium and unleaded gas and for diesel. In separate announcements Friday, Shell and Flying V had brought down prices of regular gas and kerosene by P2 per liter; and diesel and premium and unleaded gas by P1.50 per liter. “We felt that since its going to be almost a four-day holiday magro-rollback kami mamayang midnight (We felt since it is going to be almost a four-day holiday, we would roll back prices after midnight),” Shell spokesman Bobby Kanapi had said in an interview on dzBB radio Friday noon. — LBG, GMA News
