Pacquiao arrives at Quiapo, enters church for Mass

June 16, 2012 10:42am
Filipino boxing champ and Sarangani Rep. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao arrived in Manila's Quiapo district Saturday morning for his customary thanksgiving Mass.

A report by GMA TV news' JP Soriano said Pacquiao proceeded to the church after resting at the Midas Hotel along Roxas Boulevard.

With him was former Manila Mayor and Environment Secretary Jose Atienza Jr.

Pacquiao arrived early Saturday morning at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport to be with his constituents in Sarangani, who are reeling from the effects of flash floods earlier this week.

He cut short his vacation in the United States after learning of the flash floods that killed least one Sarangani resident.

Pacquiao returned one week after losing his welterweight bout to Timothy Bradley Jr. via split decision in Las Vegas.

He said he does not feel bad over his loss, saying God has a better plan for him. — LBG, GMA News
