Filipino-Mexican-American singer Jessica Sanchez is said to be in talks to become a cast member of the hit teenage musical dramedy "Glee." According to a report of the Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, "Glee" is "thisclose" to adding Idol Season 11 first runner-up Sanchez for a "multiepisode arc in its upcoming fourth season." The report said Sanchez, 16, would likely join "Glee" midway after "American Idol" completes its summer concert tour. The two shows — "American Idol" and "Glee" — are both produced by Fox. Quoting a report of the entertainment site TV Line, the Hollywood Reporter said the "details on Sanchez's character are being kept under wraps." If the deal with "Glee" pushes through, it will be Sanchez’s first acting and singing stint in a musical “dramedy.”

She will be joining co-guests Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker who also signed for the multi-episode arc. Meanwhile, several posts on entertainment news sites or showbiz bloggers — including the official Twitter account of "American Idol" —have confirmed that talks are indeed under way between Sanchez and "Glee."
