A suspected carjacker was killed in a reported encounter with police operatives in Dasmariñas City in Cavite province Sunday night.

 

Police acting on a tip cornered the suspect, initially identified as Fermin Sabater alias Puruntong, in Fatima village, radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported Monday.

 

Sabater allegedly tried to shoot his way out of trouble but was outgunned in the encounter.

 

 

 

The report said Sabater had been linked to a series of carjacking incidents in the area.

 

His style was to bump the vehicle of a victim from behind, and declare the carjacking once the driver got out of the vehicle. — RSJ, GMA News
