After the traditional Thai water blessing, a dance celebration follows with a buffet for guests. Fire-juggling performances and fireworks are also held over the beach, the report said.

Top gay wedding destinations

Meanwhile, according to the travel site Cheapflights.com, the top wedding destinations for gays are:
  • Washington, D.C., US;
  • Montreal, Quebec, Canada;
  • Amsterdam, Netherlands;

  • Provincetown, Massachusetts, US;
  • Stockholm, Sweden;
  • Buenos Aires, Argentina;

Cheapflights.com said Washington D.C. only legalized gay marriage in December 2009 "but America’s capital has long possessed a large LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) population."

There are "gay-friendly neighborhoods and hotels" for the couple's wedding festivities, the travel site said.

"Imagine a rooftop reception with panoramic views of the city – you and your beloved a part of the history of America beginning to make good on its promise of “equality and justice for all.”

On Montreal, the travel site said it's the "next best thing" because Paris, France has yet to legalize gay marriage.

"With beautiful parks, fantastic cuisine, a raucous nightlife and an unrivaled atmosphere of convivialité, Montreal is a perfect place to say, 'I do,'" the site said.

Most romantic nationalities

Meanwhile, an earlier report of CNNGo.com in February this year listed the world's most romantic nationalities:

(1) Spanish

Called Europe’s most convincing Casanovas, the Spanish were cited as the most romantic people in the world.

"Consider its rambunctious eating and drinking scene -- perhaps the liveliest and most social on the planet -- ponder its flamenco; dwell upon the three-hour lunch breaks and ear-melting linguistics, and you have a people that appear to focus every task in life with bringing man and woman together," CNN.Go said.

Seduction secret: According to CNNGo.com, the Spanish people's "ability to drink long into the night and still make sense" is their secret seduction weapon.

CNNGo.com said Argentines have "looked to Europe for cultural inspiration; the fire and passion, not to mention the propensity for dramatics."

The tango, "arguably the world’s most sensuous dance," is the perfect expression of Argentine romanticism, the report said.

(5) Brazilian

The report said the Brazilian's romantic appeal lies in their "deep emotional state of nostalgic longing."
