CebuPac cancels Caticlan-Manila flight due to bad weather
At least one flight was canceled Friday morning due to bad weather conditions involving intermittent heavy rain since Thursday night.
Carrier Cebu Pacific canceled a return flight to Manila from Caticlan (5J-892), according to a report by radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen.
The report quoted the Ninoy Aquino International Airport media affairs office as saying the canceled flight had been scheduled to arrive at NAIA-3 at 7:55 a.m.
However, it said the bad weather conditions in Caticlan prevented the return flight from flying to Manila.
Since Thursday night, intermittent heavy rain fell on Metro Manila and other parts of the country.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said this was due to an approaching potential cyclone – an active low-pressure area – and the southwest monsoon.
PAGASA said the rain is likely to continue falling on Metro Manila throughout the day. — LBG, GMA News
