Some 70 residents in Pulilan town in Bulacan province were evacuated early Monday due to continuous rain, disaster management officials said.
The 70 residents were from the Tibag area in Pulilan and were temporarily housed at the local chapel, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported.
Continuous rain had threatened to swamp many areas of Bulacan, prompting many local government units to suspend classes for the day.
Among the areas in Bulacan that reported heavy rain were Hagonoy and Paombong towns.
