Classes still suspended in 6 Valenzuela schools due to floods, classes to resume in most of Central Luzon
No thanks to floods from heavy rain in past days, classes in at least six schools in Valenzuela City remained suspended Thursday.
This developed as classes in most of Central Luzon were expected to resume as the weather conditions there improved.
In an advisory posted on its Twitter account, the city government said classes are still suspended in:
- A. Deato Elementary School
- Pio Valenzuela Elementary School
- Pasolo Elementary School
- Tagalag Elementary School
- A. Fernando Elementary School
- Polo National High School
In Central Luzon, meanwhile, the Office of Civil Defense said classes in most areas were to resume Thursday as the floodwaters subsided, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported.
The report said this includes classes in parts of Bulacan and Pampanga, which had to suspend classes earlier this week due to heavy rain.
OCD Central Luzon head Josefina Timoteo was quoted in the report as saying the rain had eased and floodwaters had subsided in much of the region. — ELR, GMA News
