A year after celebrating the 150^th birth anniversary of the country’s national hero, GMA News and Public Affairs brings together the most notable documentaries and specials on the life and works of Dr. Jose P. Rizal in a special DVD compilation, “Rizal: 150 Taon ng Pambansang Bayani.”
 
From stories on his childhood to his travel adventures, get to know the man behind the hero that is Rizal in this one of a kind collection.  
 
“Rizal: 150 Taon ng Pambansang Bayani” includes the three I-Witness documentaries “Little Bad Boy: Ang Binatang Rizal sa Europa,” “Mga Lihim ng Pamilya ni Rizal,” and “Ang Mahiwagang Ngiti ni Jose Rizal.”
 
The award-winning documentary “Little Bad Boy: Ang Binatang Rizal sa Europa” tells of the travels and loves of the young Rizal while inEurope. “Mga Lihim ng Pamilya ni Rizal,” reveals an intriguing secret of the Rizal family in Calamba while “Ang Mahiwagang Ngiti ni JoseRizal” shares the underlying stories behind Rizal’s mischievous smile in a rare photo.
 
Also included in the DVD are GMA News and Public Affairs’ specials “Piging Para kay Pepe,” a food documentary hosted by Cesar Montano in celebration of Rizal’s 150^th birth anniversary, and “Mga Kuwentong Pambata ni Rizal,” which gives viewers a glimpse into Rizal’s childhood—from stories he loved as a child to the children's stories he wrote as an adult.
 
“Rizal: 150 Taon ng Pambansang Bayani” also features the award-winning Reel Time documentary “Pluma” that explores the facets ofRizal’s life immortalized through his writings. The DVD special also includes seven segments on the continuing influence of Rizal on past and present generations, in and outside the Philippines, from GMA News TV’s flagship primetime newscast “State of the Nation with Jessica Soho.”
