Bulacan fire put out after 12 hours; damage up to P30M
After about 12 hours, firefighters finally managed to put out Saturday morning a fire that razed a public market in Bulacan province.
The fire was declared out at 10:07 a.m. Saturday, about 12 hours after it started Friday night, radio dzBB's Paulo Santos reported.
No one was initially reported injured in the fire, even the estimated damage to property went up to P30 million as of Saturday noon.
Earlier, arson investigators said they were verifying information that an electrical short circuit caused the fire.
Initial investigation had showed the fire at the Malolos Public Market started at 10 p.m. Friday, and reached Task Force Bravo.
Some 70 percent of the dry goods section was razed in the fire, arson investigators were quoted in the report as saying. — LBG, GMA News
