2 domestic flights canceled due to bad weather

August 6, 2012 7:21am

At least two domestic flights in Southern Luzon were canceled Monday due to bad weather conditions involving heavy monsoon rain.

Carrier Cebu Pacific canceled the flights between Manila and San Jose in Occidental Mindoro province, radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported.

The two flights involved were 5J-513 (Manila to San Jose) and 5J-514 (San Jose to Manila), the report said.

No other flight cancellations were recorded so far at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport as of Monday morning, the report added.

Heavy rain caused by the southwest monsoon pummeled Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon since Sunday night.

The rain forced the suspension of classes in many parts of Metro Manila and Rizal province for Monday. –KG, GMA News
