Classes in all levels in Parañaque and Muntinlupa City will be suspended on Wednesday due to the heavy rain and flooding in the areas.
In Parañaque City, Mayor Florencio Bernabe Jr. ordered classes suspended in all levels in public and private schools, radio dzBB reported Tuesday afternoon.
Muntinlupa City Mayor Aldrin San Pedro also ordered classes suspended in all levels on Wednesday, the report added.
San Pedro was quoted in the report as saying that many of the schools in the city are being used as evacuation centers for families displaced by the floods.
The Department of Education added the suspension in Muntinlupa City covers both private and public schools.
Meanwhile, more schools announced they are suspending classes for Wednesday.
These include St. Paul College Pasig and Adamson University (all levels). — RSJ, GMA News
