UAAP cancels games scheduled for Wednesday

August 7, 2012 4:56pm
The continuous rainfall in Metro Manila has led to tournament hosts National University deciding to cancel UAAP games scheduled for Wednesday.

In men's basketball, the UST Growling Tigers were scheduled to play the UE Red Warriors at 2pm, while the DLSU Green Archers and the Adamson Falcons were expected to play in the second game at 4pm at the Araneta Coliseum.

"Games tomorrow at Araneta postponed. If weather permits, games scheduled for today will be played on Thursday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig. Stay tuned for more updates," said UAAP president Nilo Ocampo through the UAAP Season 75 official Twitter account (@UAAPSeason75).

It is the second the time that the games have been cancelled due to inclement weather. The UAAP and NCAA also cancelled their Saturday games last July 21. - Renee Fopalan/AMD, GMA News
