UAAP, NCAA reschedule more games

August 8, 2012 3:22pm
The country's two premier collegiate leagues, the UAAP and the NCAA, have postponed games slated for this weekend, due to the strong rain and the status of several member schools as evacuation centers and/or donation collection areas.

In the UAAP, games slated for August 8, Wednesday, specifically De La Salle University versus Adamson University, and University of the East versus University of Santo Tomas, have been moved to August 12, Sunday.

Weekend games originally dated August 11 and 12 have also been moved a week later, to August 18 and 19.

A previously rescheduled double-header, University of the East versus Adamson University, and University of the Philippines versus University of Santo Tomas, will still push through next Wednesday, on August 15.

The NCAA meanwhile has also postponed games scheduled for August 9 and 11, with a new schedule to be decided on August 10.

Affected by the shift is Thursday's schedule of Jose Rizal University versus Colegio de San Juan de Letran, and San Beda College versus San Sebastian College-Recoletos, and the pair of games it had originally rescheduled to August 11, namely Colegio de San Juan de Letran versus San Beda College, and Mapua Institute of Technology versus Arellano University.  - AMD, GMA News
