Chevron freezes petroleum prices in areas affected by floods

Chevron Philippines Inc. said Thursday that it would implement a price freeze next week on areas affected by the recent heavy rains.
 
The manufacturer of Caltex fuel and lubricant said it would freeze prices despite an “upwards trend on the prices of finished petroleum products in the world market”. This, in order to help those affected by monsoon rains, said Raissa Bautista, Chevron manager for policy, government and public affairs.
 
The company will freeze prices in:
 
National Capital Region
Rizal
Pampanga
Bataan
Zambales
Sta. Cruz, Laguna
Pagsanjan, Laguna
Bacoor, Cavite
Kawit, Cavite
Rosario, Cavite
Bulacan
 
Chevron is also conducting relief operations with the American Chamber of Commerce Foundation and Corporate Network for Disaster Relief on the affected areas, the company said. — DVM, GMA News
