Classes in Manila now suspended up to college
The suspension of classes in Manila for Friday was expanded early Friday to include the college level, on orders of Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim.
Lim issued the order after police reported some roads were still flooded, radio dzBB's Cecilia Villarosa reported.
His order covered both public and private schools, the report added.
Among the still-flooded roads is España Avenue, a major thoroughfare that leads to many major universities and colleges in the city.
The dzBB report said Lim initially ordered the suspension of classes only in public elementary and high schools for Friday.
However, Lim said employees at City Hall will still have to report for work on Friday. — ELR, GMA News
