NBA: Dwight-mare over? Four-team deal with the Lakers planned, trade call scheduled
The Los Angeles Lakers may have finally landed the center they have long coveted. Reports have the Lakers landing Magic star Dwight Howard, with the Denver Nuggets and the Philadelphia 76ers sending young players and draft picks, along with LA, to Orlando, with a trade call scheduled with the league for Friday (Saturday, PHL time). Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the four-team deal, saying "talks have substance." In Wojnarowski's version of the trade, LA would land Howard, and Nuggets forward Al Harrington. 76ers swingman Andre Iguodala would then go to Denver, in exchange for LA center Andrew Bynum. Orlando for their troubles, would land Pau Gasol (from LA) and Arron Afflalo (from Denver). A few hours later, ESPN's Marc Stein reported that a "trade call with league office has been scheduled for Friday morning to process four-team Dwight deal." Stein's deal varies from Wojnarowski's earlier report, saying that Orlando would get Afflalo, Harringston, Philadelphia center Nikola Vucevic and a first-round pick from each of the other three teams. The 76ers would also get guard Jason Richardson in addition to Bynum, while the Lakers keep Gasol. While the framework of the deal is said to be in place, there are still said to be several moving pieces that could alter the trade. Orlando for example, has in the past made it known that it would like to move other players on their line-up such as Hedo Turkoglu, Glen Davis, and Chris Duhon. - AMD, GMA News
