A family of three was killed while a 12-year-old girl was wounded in a predawn massacre in their house in Caloocan City Sunday.

Neighbors said they heard shots before 6 a.m. then found the victims' bodies in their house in the city's Bagong Silang area, radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported.

"May narinig (kami) dito nagkaputukan, tapos nakita namin may patay na (We heard gunshots then when we got to the area, we found the victims already dead)," said a neighbor.

The three fatalities were described as a couple and their daughter. The report said a 12-year-old girl was wounded and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police are still gathering leads on the killers.

"Walang nakakita eh (No one saw the killers)," said the neighbor when asked who the killers could be. — LBG, GMA News
