Umangal ang Communist Party of the Philippines sa ginawa ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III na muling pagtaas ng pabuya sa ikadarakip kin George Madlos at Benito Tiamzon na, ayon sa CPP, pareho umanong mga lider ng National Democratic Front (NDF).

Hayagan umanong paglabag sa Joint Agreement on Safety and Immunity Guarantees (JASIG) ang pagtaas ng pabuya laban kay Madlos at Tiamzon," ayon sa CPP.

Noong Biyernes, inihayag ni Aquino ang pagbibigay ng P2-milyong pabuya bawat isa sa mga tinatawag na "high-profile fugitives" na kinabibilangan nina dating Maj. Gen. Jovito Palparan, dating Palawan Governor Joel Reyes, dating congressman Ruben Ecleo ng Dinagat province at kay Delfin Lee ng Globe Asiatique.

Kasabay na inihayag ni Aquino na may P5.5 million na pabuya bawat isa kina Madlos at Tiamzon.

"This latest move reveals the Aquino administration's lack of serious intent with regard peace negotiations with the NDF," ayon sa CPP.

Ayon sa CPP, parehong mga prominenteng mga lider ng NDF sina Madlos at Tiamzon. Si Madlos ang tagapagsalita ng NDF sa Mindanao.

"The JASIG, which was signed by the principals of the Philippine government (GPH) and NDFP in 1998, binds both the GPH [Government of the Philippines] and the NDF to guarantee the security of negotiators, consultants and personnel of the parties engaged in the peace talks. It prohibits subjecting peace personnel of both sides to surveillance, arrest, detention, filing of criminal charges and any persecutorial or punitive acts that would impair their effective participation in the peace talks," ayon pa sa CPP.

“Since assuming power,the Aquino regime has been violating the JASIG with impunity.” There are a number of NDFP consultants currently incarcerated in various police and military detention centers. These include, among others, Alan Jazmines, Tirso Alcantara, Renante Gamara, Ramon Patriarca, Eduardo Serrano, Eduardo Sarmiento, Pedro Codaste and Randy Malayao,' dagdag pa ng CPP.

Ang pinakahuling paglabag umano ng gobyerno sa JASIG ay ang pagdukot umano noong ika-5 ng Agosto sa NDF-Southern Tagalog consultant na si Jesus Abetria at ng isang miyembro ng kanyang staff na si Restituto Galicia. Dinukot umano sila Abetria at Galicia ng pinagsanib na puwersa ng Philippine Army at Philippines National Police sa Kalayaan, Laguna. — LBG, GMA News
