At least seven people were killed while eight were injured when a truck and a van figured in a road accident in Titay town in Zamboanga Sibugay Friday night.

The vehicles collided in Purok Fortune in Barangay Poblacion, according to a report on dzBB radio early Sunday.

Sketchy initial reports indicated the driver of the truck swerved to avoid hitting a horse in the middle of the road and hit the van.

The truck burst into flames because of the fuel it was carrying, the report added.

Among the fatalities were the truck driver and a four-year-old child. — LBG, GMA News
