Five arrested, P150M worth of shabu seized in Parañaque raid
At least five people were arrested while some P150 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) was seized in a raid on a house used as a shabu laboratory in Parañaque City Sunday.
Police operatives served a search warrant issued by Quezon City Judge Fernando Sagun in raiding the house at Santisima Trinidad in Parañaque, radio dzBB's Mao dela Cruz reported.
The report said five men believed to be Taiwanese were arrested during the raid. It quoted the house caretaker as saying the five had rented the house for a year.
Found inside the house were 20 kilos of shabu in the treatment stage, as well as ingredients such as ephedrine.
Authorities also found one kilo of "finished" shabu in the house.
The police are now looking into the possible links of the arrested Taiwanese to other drug rings that had operated earlier shabu laboratories. — LBG, GMA News
