DFA to open first consular satellite office in Metro Manila Aug. 29

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will open on August 29 its first consular satellite office in Metro Manila at the seventh floor of the newly-opened Building C of SM Megamall.
 
In a news release, the DFA said its DFA-National Capital Region (DFA-NCR) East office will have a soft opening 
on August 29, 30 and September 1.

"On these days, 500 applicants shall be accommodated. Beginning September 3, 1000 applicants shall be accommodated at this facility," the DFA said.
 
The DFA-NCR East will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Mondays to Saturdays, for both processing and releasing.
 
It will also be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sundays, but for releasing only.
 
"Only applicants with scheduled appointments and senior citizens with valid proof of age shall be accommodated," it said.

The DFA said other consular offices had already opened in the Pacific Mall in Mandaue, Cebu, Robinsons Star Mills Mall in San Fernando, Pampanga and Marquee Mall in Clark, Pampanga. - VVP, GMA News
