Is the iPhone 5, Apple Inc.'s latest smartphone expected to be unveiled later this month, coming with an upgrade to its earphones too?

 

A report on tech site CNET cited images of earphones published by a Vietnamese tech news site that may come with the new iPhone.

 

"Of course, it could be earphones from a third-party, rather than Apple, or another rumor that won't pan out. Apple isn't telling," CNET said.

 

An English translation of the Vietnamese site Tinhte.vn described the new earphones as more compact than the present earphones.

 

But even the site said there is no official word yet on whether these will be the actual earphones to be shipped with the new iPhone.

 

The iPhone is expected to be unveiled at an Apple event on September 12, even as rumors about its appearance features have reached fever pitch. — RSJ, GMA News
