Taulava joins the San Miguel Beermen in the ABL
Asi "The Rock" Taulava has inked a deal with the San Miguel Beermen in the ABL after deciding to call it quits with the country's premiere professional basketball league.
The news about Taulava's transfer to San Miguel came late Thursday night through his agent Sheryl Reyes' Twitter account.

The big man's contract expired last August 31, as Reyes announced on Twitter that the Fil-Tongan declined the extension offered by the Meralco Bolts.
Taulava spent his first eight years with the Mobiline/Talk n' Text franchise, before being traded to the Coca-Cola Tigers. He spent his last two years with Meralco Bolts under coach Ryan Gregorio.
The 2003 PBA MVP finished his career with an average of 15.9 points and 11.7 rebounds after 422 games played.
