Diesel, gas prices to roll back; kerosene prices to increase
Some relief is at hand for motorists as some oil companies announced rollbacks in the prices of diesel and and gasoline prices.
Effective 6 a.m. Sunday, Seaoil is rolling back prices of its premium and unleaded gasoline by 60 centavos per liter and diesel by 25 centavos per liter, radio dzBB reported.
Petron Corp., on the other hand, announced similar price adjustments for their products, but said these changes will take effect 12:01 a.m. Monday, September 10.
In a post on its Twitter account, Petron said it will implement the following price changes:
- 60 centavos per liter for premium and unleaded fuel
- 25 centavos per liter for diesel
"This reflects movements in the international oil market," said Petron.
But Seaoil hiked prices of its kerosene by 20 centavos per liter, with Petron scheduled to follow suit.
These latest oil price adjustments comes after an independent panel claimed there was no irregularity in recent fuel price adjustments.
Militant groups assailed the finding, vowing to conduct their own probe and a possible transport strike if fuel price hikes continue to rise this month. — DVM, GMA News
