MMDA app now supports iOS6

Motorists with iPhones and iPads may now get better updates of road incidents affecting traffic flow, with an updated version of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority's mobile app for the iOS platform.
 
The MMDA said version 2.3 of its app now includes an "Incidents" feature to show road incidents that affect the flow of traffic.
 
It also said the app will have added support for iOS 6, the newly released update to Apple's operating system for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches.
 
Other features of the app, which was released Friday, include:
 
- Added support for iOS6 and new 4-inch devices
- Fixed EspaƱa line data
- Updated Traffic Fines and Penalties as of Sept. 12
- Updated MMDA Directory
- Bug fixes
 
The app allows motorists to navigate their way through Metro Manila traffic and view the traffic situation in System, Map or Line View.
 
It covers EDSA, C5, SLEX, Roxas Boulevard, Ortigas, Commonwealth, Marcos Highway, Katipunan, España, and Quezon Avenue.
 
Also, it allows uers to share and report traffic information via Twitter.
 
It is a 16-mb free download, and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, and requires iOS 4.3 or later. — TJD, GMA News
