GMA Pinoy TV and GMA Life TV, two of Filipino broadcast giant GMA Network's international channels, will be participating in the first ever  "Diaspora to Dialogue (D2D) Conference" in Rome from September 26 to 29.   GMA's Ultimate Singing Champion Rachelle Ann Go will perform during the dinner to be sponsored by OSN, the carrier of GMA International channels in Europe and the Middle East, on September 29.   D2D is a conference for Filipinos in Europe that was convened by the Filipino-Italian Members of the Global Filipino Diaspora Council (GFDC) and the Commission on Filipinos Overseas. The conference is hosted by the Philippine Embassy in Rome and supported by the International Organization of Migration (IOM), the Scalabrini Institute of Migration Onlus (SIMIONLUS) and the Comune di Roma.   The conference is aimed towards creating a permanent venue for communication among Europe-based Filipino organizations and associations to address issues, encourage participation, and empower migrants for development.   "We are extending our full support to the D2D and wish the organizers the best as they embark on this noteworthy endeavour," said GMA International Vice President and Head of Operations Joseph T. Francia. "We look forward to building new ties and reinforcing our existing ones with Filipino communities in the region as we engage with participants in this conference," he added.   The conference will be attended by over 200 Filipino community leaders from countries all over Europe including Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, UK, Spain, and Italy.   Some of the noteworthy speakers in the conference include: Gianni Alemmano, the mayor of Rome; H.E. Virgilio A. Reyes, Jr., Philippine Ambassador to Italy; Presidential spokesperson Ricky Carandang; Loida Nicolas Lewis, lawyer, philanthropist and chairperson of the Global Filipino Diaspora Council - New York, and Dr. Jose Angel Oropeza, director at the International Office of Migration; among others.   For inquiries about subscribing to GMA Pinoy TV and GMA Life TV, email OSN at pinoy@tv2moro.com or call:  +44 (0) 2031741894 / +44 (0) 7989403904 / +44 (0) 7760161582 / +44 (0) 75 3102 2269 (UK and Ireland); +39 647823586 / + 39 3478889854 / +39 3206871552 (Italy); +46 707250950 /  +46 313303726 (Sweden); +47 94808718 / +47 22167988 (Norway);   +49 713113333651 / +49 71311353035 (Germany, Benelux, Austria) / +41 797150273 (Switzerland) / +306932227958 (Greece).   For more information on GMA International channels, log on to www.gmanetwork.com/international<http://www.gmanetwork.com/international>. - GMA News
