Korean electronics giant Samsung has claimed selling at least three million Galaxy Note II phablet (phone-tablet) device just a month after launch.

Samsung said these sales figures are more than three times the rate of the original Note, according to a report on tech site Engadget.

"This supersized device can't quite match the mainstream appeal of Samsung's own Galaxy S III - which cracked 20 million just 100 days after its debut - but it should quickly surpass its predecessor, last seen cresting the 10 million mark back in August," Engadget said.

The Galaxy Note II is a 5.5-inch stylus-enabled smartphone that Engadget said may roll out on multiple carriers including Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and US Cellular in the US.

As if this were not enough, Engadget said Samsung may be pushing the Note II with an ad campaign featuring Miami Heat superstar LeBron James.
