Petron Corp. on Monday said it is lowering prices of petroleum products, the first price adjustment for gasoline and diesel in 2013.

Effective at 6 a.m. Tuesday, the rollback consists of P0.15 per liter for diesel and kerosene.

However, the country's largest oil refinery and retailer of petroleum products will also raise by P0.15 the price per liter of premium gasoline, also at 6 a.m. Tuesday, saying the adjustment “... reflects movements in the international market.”

Seaoil Philippines Inc. also said it is reducing diesel and petroleum prices by P0.15 per liter, while raising premium and unleaded gasoline by P0.15 per liter. These adjustments will also go into effect at 6 a.m. Tuesday. — VS/BM, GMA News
