Smart claims that its LTE broadband service is available in 10 cities across Metro Manila and in key areas in Boracay, Cebu, and Davao.

iPhone 5 subscribers can use LTE for free until the end of April, with no need for a separate data package.

Globe postpaid users can also access LTE without extra charges and with no need their plans, according to Peter Bithos, Senior Advisor for Globe Consumer Business.

“Even with LTE, Postpaid subscribers don’t need to incur additional fees or shift to a different or higher data plan. Globe is making LTE available to everyone on LTE-enabled devices regardless of their plan subscription,” he added.

To date, Globe's LTE coverage includes Makati City, Pasig City, Quezon City, Taguig City, Muntinlupa, Mandaluyong, Cebu City and Boracay.
