Another fuel price hike due this week
After a price rollback of liquefied petroleum gas products, motorists and commuters may have to brace for another price hike of other fuel products this week. A report on dzBB radio on Saturday cited sources in the oil industry as saying the price hikes may be as high as 80 centavos per liter. It said the sources indicated a price hike of 70 to 80 centavos per liter for premium and unleaded gas, and 15 to 25 centavos per liter for diesel. But the report quoted the source as saying the price adjustment will still depend on movements in world prices of oil over the weekend. Last week's hike in fuel prices had included: - 35 centavos per liter for diesel - 45 centavos per liter for kerosene - 90 centavos per liter for unleaded and premium gas - 95 centavos per liter for regular gas On Friday, Petron rolled back prices of its cooking gas by P1.80 per kilo.
