PBA: Cone pledges support to Reyes' Gilas squad
San Mig Coffee mentor Tim Cone has pledged his support to the Gilas cause, offering his help to national team head coach Chot Reyes, who quickly accepted. [Related: Chot Reyes reveals 17-man training pool for FIBA Asia Championship] Cone had initially tweeted out his congratulations to Reyes and the 17 players that make up the national team training pool, a group that includes San Mig Coffee Mixer Marc Pingris, as one of the two players from a San Miguel Corporation-owned squad. He then followed it up by telling Reyes, "Anything I can personally do to help, name it!" to which Reyes replied, "You know I'm gonna call you!" Cone then wrapped things up by saying, "I'd of course be honored. But even beyond me, all of us inside and outside of the PBA need to step up behind you and take your lead." The tweets come a little under a year when the two multi-titled mentors clashed in the Finals of the 2012 PBA Commissioner's Cup, with Cone's then-monikered BMEG Llamados triumphing in seven games over Reyes' Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters. - AMD, GMA News
