"The incidents are indications of the strong presence of lawless armed groups (LAG) who may have the access to communities around the area as their safe havens. Said LAG impedes the peace and development so far gained by the people of Bongmal. Pursuit operations are being conducted to bring the perpetrators to justice," ayon sa pahayag ni Rodriguez. “The two incidents were very unfortunate for our personnel and their families. We will extend any possible assistance to their families while we seek to give justice to their death. "Despite the recent attacks, our soldiers will continue to uphold their mandate of serving the people and securing the land against lawless armed groups who deliberately aim to destabilize the peace and security in the area,” ayon naman sa hiwalay na pahayag ni Colonel Norman Marcos Flores Jr, commander ng 1002nd Army Brigade. — LBG, GMA News
