Singil sa kuryente, tataas ngayong Marso

Tataas ng P0.10 per kilowatthour ang singil sa kuryente ng Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) sa kanilang mga konsumer ngayong Marso na inaprubahan ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). Ang dagdag singil ay batay sa bagong listahan ng stranded contract costs ng Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. ngayong buwan. "Even though there were reductions in the generation, transmission and system loss charges, the reductions weren't enough to fully offset the  P0.19 per kWh PSALM increase. Customers will still feel the P0.10 per kWh net increase," paliwanag ni Lawrence Fernandez,  utility economics ng Meralco. Dahil sa dagdag na singil, ang mga komukonsumo ng kuryente ng 200 kWh per month ay madadagdagan ng P20 sa kanilang electricity bill ngayong Marso. - FRJ, GMA News
