Seeing the sunset outside a hospital was a dream come true for a group of differently-abled children, who went on a Manila Bay cruise Saturday aboard a Navy ship.

Accompanied by their guardians, teachers and Navy personnel, 13 pediatric patients from the Philippine General Hospital joined “Dream Cruise 2013,” which was part of a humanitarian mission of the Philippine Navy for its upcoming anniversary celebration.

The Philippine Navy, in coordination with Philippine Cancer Society and PGH, wanted to bring joy to the children’s faces, even if only for a short while.

The children’s tour began with a short program at the Philippine Navy headquarters in Manila. They then sailed on the BRP Fort San Antonio Abad to Roxas Boulevard to view the fireworks at the pyromusical competition entries. —CGL/KG/HS, GMA News
