LinkedIn briefly goes down

LinkedIn, a social networking site for professionals, suffered from intermittent service Wednesday (Manila time), a tech site reported.

 

Complaints about the social media networking service started to mount shortly before the start of East Coast business hours, PC World reported.

 

"All in all, in less than a two-hour period the LinkedIn site appears to have gone down for about 45 minutes, went back up for about 30 minutes and then had a second service disruption," PC World said. "We're aware the site is currently down, and our team is working on it right now. Stay tuned," it quoted LinkedIn as saying in an update.

 

It said LinkedIn reported at around 8:50 a.m. Eastern Time that the issue was resolved - 30 minutes before the site went down again.

 

LinkedIn's woes came shortly after the cloud-based storage service Google Drive confirmed a service disruption last Monday affected a "significant" number of users.
