QC court junks libel complaint filed by Amalia Fuentes against Ruffa Gutierrez

Ibinalita ni Ruffa Gutierrez sa kanyang Twitter account na na-dismiss na ang libel complaint na inihain laban sa kanya ng beteranang aktres na si Amalia Fuentes. Ayon kay Ruffa, na-dismiss ang reklamo “due to lack of evidence.” Sa kasalukuyan ay mayroong 1,627,209 followers ang actress-TV host sa Twitter. Matatandaan na noong Mayo 7, 2012 ay naghain si Amalia ng reklamong libel laban kay Ruffa sa Quezon City Regional Trial Court dahil sa mga naging pahayag ng huli sa defunct show na Paparazzi at mga post nito sa Twitter. Ayon sa tweet ni Ruffa ngayong hapon, April 3, “The libel case Ms. Amalia Fuentes filed against me has been dismissed due to lack of evidence.” “I FEEL VINDICATED.” Samantala, sumunod naman na nagpasalamat si Ruffa sa kanyang mga abugadong sina Atty. Howard Calleja at Atty. Connie Jimenez. Mula raw noong simula, “my lawyers assured me that i did not violate any law and that the charges against me had no basis at all.” Pinasalamatan din ni Ruffa si Honorable Prosecutor Badua "for dismissing the case against me.” Gayunman, nalulungkot daw ang former beauty queen dahil hindi pa nadi-dismiss ang reklamong inihain din ni Amalia sa ilang reporters. “But while i feel vindicated with the resolution dismissing the charges against me, i'm sad for the reporters/press people who were charged. “It was not the outcome i expected. ☹ I just hope and pray that they will all be eventually acquitted and we can move forward in peace.” -- Joyce Jimenez, PEP
