Consumers can get some relief this month as some dealers of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) slashed prices of their products by P1 per kilo effective 12:01 a.m. Saturday.

The LPG dealers cited international trends showing a decrease in the world prices of LPG, radio dzBB's Rowena Salvacion reported.

With the price cut, the price of an 11-kg tank of cooking gas will go down by P11, to about P614 per tank, the report said.

LPG dealers usually adjust the prices of their products once a month.

Last Tuesday, at least two firms lowered prices of their LPG products.

An earlier report on dzBB said Petron and Total lowered prices of their LPG products by P3 per kilo or P33 per 11-kg tank. Petron also slashed prices of Auto LPG by P1.88 per liter.

But Petron also increased this week the prices of its premium gas by 35 centavos per liter. — ELR, GMA News
