Bangladeshi says she locked up Pinay in UAE for assaulting her
A Bangladeshi maid claimed that she locked up a Filipina babysitter and her ward in a bedroom of their sponsor's house in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) because the Filipina allegedly assaulted her.
The Bangladeshi maid, 25, who faced the Dubai Court of First Instance on Monday, also asked to be deported, according to a Gulf News report on Sunday.
The maid also denied taking some Dh3,000 (P33,767) from the Filipina's bag.
A judgment is expected to be heard on April 25.
Earlier, the Filipina, 28, accused the Bangladeshi of locking her and her sponsor's newborn child up in a bedroom, then stealing her money.
The Filipina told the court that she was cleaning the bedroom when the Bangladeshi locked her up and absconded on September 18 last year.
The babysitter said she called the neighbors to help her. Then her sponsor came and freed her and the baby from the room which was reportedly locked from outside by the maid. - VVP, GMA News
