NBI provides information 'hotlines' for Mancao's capture

The National Bureau of Investigation on Friday announced mobile and landline numbers for the public to call if they have information which can lead to the capture of former police Superintendent Cezar Mancao II. "Kung meron kayong nakita o information kung saan si Col. Cezar Mancao, ang request namin sa NBI na makipagugnayan sa aming tanggapan sa NBI sa telepono 526-6205, o sa cell number ko sa, 0917-521-8777," said NBI Deputy Director Reynaldo Esmeralda during a Friday interview on radio dzBB. Esmeralda added that their information showed Mancao was still in the Metro Manila area. On Thursday, Mancao escaped detention at the NBI's office, claiming that he received information that he would be transfered to the Manila City Jail, where he feared he would be assassinated. Mancao, who is considered a suspect in the killing of PR man Salvador Dacer and driver Emmanuel Corbito in 2000, also said he is fine with being tagged as a fugitive, saying at least he is still alive. — DVM, GMA News
