Rock for a Fully Abled Nation concert calls for PWD-inclusive elections

Around 400,000 persons with disabilities in our country are eligible to vote. Civil Society, Disability People’s Organizations (DPOs), Key Government Agencies, and Artists unite make sure their votes count this coming elections.

 

To break the barriers to enable and empower every Filipino, a concert will be held tonight at the Eastwood City Central Plaza on May 6, Monday, 6 p.m. to 12 midnight, dubbed as Rock for a Fully Abled Nation.

 

National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) Executive Director Carmen Zubiaga and Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Commissioner Grace Padaca shall grace the event to inspire and encourage the PWD sector to sustain the gains from the voters registration of PWDs to actually voting on the election day.

 

The concert will feature Up Dharma Down, Itchyworms, Franco, Malay, Kamikazee, Soapdish, Maude, Pulso, Miko Pepito, Righteous One, Long Time No See and Turpitude and will be hosted by Saab Magalona, Rovilson Fernandez and DJ Lambert of Jam 88.3.

 

The Rock for FAN is a free concert organized by DAKILA, in partnership with Locked Down Entertainment, Megaworld, Eastwood City, and Jam 88.3, under the Disability-Inclusive Elections initiative popularly known as Fully Abled Nation, implemented by The Asia Foundation as part of Australian Aid’s program on Disability-Inclusive Development.
