Apple releases iOS 6.1.4 for iPhone 5

Apple Inc. over the weekend rolled out iOS 6.1.4, a software update that adds an updated audio profile specifically for the iPhone 5 smartphone.

 

But tech site The Next Web said the "updated audio profile for speakerphone" appears to be the only "noted" change in the update.

 

"So it’s probably worth updating just because you’re going to want to keep your device up to date, but don’t expect anything major," it said.

 

It noted the last iOS update, 6.1.3, came in March.

 

At the time, iOS 6.1.3 fixed a lock screen bypass bug and some vulnerabilities used for the Evasi0n jailbreak.

 

The Next Web said the newest update can be downloaded or accessed with the Software Update tool on the iPhone 5. — TJD, GMA News
