To celebrate the 10th year of the San Agustin Writers Workshop, the Fray Luis de Leon Creative Writing Institute of the University of San Agustin is publishing an anthology of the works of the workshop alumni. The Institute is calling all alumni of the San Agustin Writers Workshop from 2003 to 2012 to contribute their new works for the anthology. Only unpublished works written from January 2012 to May 2013 are allowed for submission. Submit any of the following: one short story, one essay, two poems, one short play, or one short screenplay. Works may be in Aklanon, English, Filipino, Hiligaynon, or Kinaray-a. Works in the local language must be accompanied by Filipino or English translations. The anthology is to be edited by Isidoro M. Cruz and J. I. E. Teodoro, both regular workshop panelists. Cruz and Teodoro both won the Palanca and National Book Awards from the Manila Critics Circle and the National Book Development Board. They were also chosen as Outstanding Augustinians of the Century during the centenary of the University of San Agustin in 2004. This anthology will be published by the University of San Agustin Publishing House. Please email all contributions to sanag_workshop_anthology@yahoo.com. The deadline is on July 15, 2013.
