Club de Damas Latinas, a socio-civic group composed of Latin-American ladies in the Philippines, will once again host one of the most awaited events of the year, the Annual Latin Charity Ball.   Set to take stage at the Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-la hotel this Saturday, May 11, 2013, the Club de Damas Latinas partners with Coca-Cola FEMSA, Coca-Cola and MAPFRE to raise funding for two specially selected beneficiaries that aim to uplift and promote children’s welfare; the Holy Family Home Foundation and the Eugenia Ravasco Day Care Center.

Dubbed by the Philippine Tatler as one of the most exciting social events in Manila, this year’s charity ball promises to be more exciting and entertaining with more than 300 guests expected to grace the event. This annual gathering has always been more than just fashion and elegance---it has become an annual get-together for lovers of Latina music, culture and language, all for a great cause.

For over 45 years, Club de Damas Latinas, a duly registered non-stock, non-profit organization, has gathered sponsors and conducted various fund-raising activities to support local Filipino communities. Each year, the club founded by ladies from twelve different countries who live in the Philippines, raise funds to support these organizations as their way of giving back to the Filipino people who have treated them as their own.

This year, members of the Club as well as their guests gather to savor real Latin spirit, with the best band, great food, the flamenco, elegance and fashion. The club has always held its Gala Latina in May as a celebration of Life and all in the spirit of good fun, a trademark that the Club has established throughout its years.

Funds collected from generous friends of the Club de Damas Latinas during this event are given to support the Holy Family Home Foundation in Makati, an organization that provides shelter, education and spiritual guidance to neglected, orphaned and abused girls, as well as the Eugenia Ravasco Day Care Center in Parañaque that for years have taken care of many poor and less fortunate Filipino children.
