(Updated 6:00 p.m.) Re-electionist Sarangani representative Manny Pacquiao has filed a complaint against a barangay chairman in General Santos City for allegedly harassing nine of his employees, according to television and radio reports Sunday.

Pacquiao and his lawyer rushed to the Fatima Police Station in General Santos City at around 1 a.m. Sunday after barangay chairman Alfredo Belgica allegedly threw rocks and fired several gunshots at Pacquiao's employees, according to Jennifer Solis' report on radio dzBB.

The windows of their vehicle, a Starex van, was also reportedly broken from the incident, it added.

A report on "Balitanghali" said Pacquiao's employees were on their way to Barangay San Jose to deliver sacks of rice to their headquarters when Belgica allegedly began throwing rocks and firing at them.

Nine employees were hurt, the report quoted Pacquiao as saying.

Belgica denied the allegations and insisted Pacquiao's camp was engaged in vote-buying in their area by distributing sacks of rice to barangay folks, the report said.

Belgica is a supporter of the Achievers with Integrity Movement, the rival group of Pacquiao's People's Champ Movement, the report added.

Pacquiao is running for re-election as Sarangani representative, while his wife, Jinkee, is running for vice governor of the province. Amanda Fernandez /LBG, GMA News
