UP Jubilarians' mini-reunion set for June 5
Alumni of the University of the Philippines (UP) Classes of 1953 (Diamond), 1963 (Golden), 1973 (Ruby) and 1988 (Silver) are invited to attend the Jubilarians’ Mini-Reunion set for Wednesday, June 5, 2013, 2:00 PM at the Ang Bahay ng Alumni, U.P. Diliman Campus, Quezon City. Jubilarians are encouraged to come to the mini reunion in their best attire for the UPAA Centennial Yearbook photo shoot scheduled immediately after the general meeting. Batch meetings will proceed after the shoot. UP Alumni Association (UPAA) will award prizes to early birds, the largest batch in attendance, and to the batch in the best attire for the yearbook photo shoot. Batches may choose to wear themed outfits or agree to their own dress code for their batch photo shoot. Raffle prizes will also be given away to participating jubilarians. The mini-reunion is the prelude to the 2013 UP General Alumni-Faculty Homecoming and Reunion on June 22. Related events are being organized by the UPAA as part of their centennial celebration. The final preparations for the homecoming’s program and plans, including the participation of the different batches, will be presented at this event. The UPAA has also announced it is now accepting contributions of articles and photographs from alumni, alumni chapters and batches for the UPAA Centennial Yearbook. Deadline for submission is on May 24, 2013. With the theme “Bagong Siglo, Bagong Sigla,” the UPAA Centennial Celebration kicked off earlier this year with the Alumni “Family Fiesta.” The event had over 3,000 participants. The yearbook project aims to detail even more of the university-wide celebration of the UPAA centennial.
