PAGASA: Rainy weather over parts of Luzon, Mindanao

Rainy weather may prevail over parts of Northen and Central Luzon and Mindanao Saturday due to the tail-end of a cold front and the inter-tropical convergence zone, state weather forecasters said.
PAGASA forecaster Ricky Fabregas also said Metro Manila and the rest of the country can expect isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
"Apektado pa ng tail-end of a cold front ang Northern and Central Luzon. Ang ITCZ, nakakaapekto sa Southern Mindanao (The tail-end of a cold front is affecting Northern and Central Luzon, and the ITCZ is affecting Southern Mindanao)," Fabregas said in an interview on dzBB radio.
He also said the rain that fell over Metro Manila since Friday was not from any cyclone but from isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
For Saturday, Metro Manila may still expect temperatures of 26 to 35 degrees Celsius, while Tuguegarao City may expect temperatures of 24 to 35 degrees Celsius.
In Angeles and Olongapo Cities, residents may expect temperatures of 24 to 34 degrees Celsius.
Saturday outlook
PAGASA's 5 a.m. bulletin said Cagayan Valley, Caraga, Davao region and Aurora and Quezon provinces will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms.
It added Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Also, it said moderate to occasionally strong winds from the southwest will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon and the coastal waters along this area will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Light to moderate winds coming from the southeast to southwest over the rest of the country with slight to moderate seas, it added. — ELR, GMA News
