5 hurt in bus-jeep accident in Quezon province

At least five people were reported injured after figuring in an accident involving a passenger bus and a jeepney in Tiaong town in Quezon province Wednesday morning.
 
The Philippine National Police said the accident occurred along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Lusacan in Tiaong town and is under investigation.
 
In a post on its news site, the PNP identified the injured as:
 
  • Analyn Genodepa, 33
  • Hazel Genodepa, 13, student
  • Beverly Genodepa, 11, student
  • Erick Salazar, 33, farmer
  • Allan Gonzaga, 32, helper.
 
The five sustained injuries in the head and body, and were brought to Candelaria Municipal Hospital.
 
Investigation showed the Elavil Tours Phils Inc. bus accidentally hit the jeep, which was about to enter the highway from a diversion road.  — ELR, GMA News
